Does a hand gun have to have a rifled barrel?
I am asking this in regard to the Mossberg Shockwave 590 and it's legality as a hand gun.
Thank you for any info or opinions.
It has been quoted that a hand gun cannot have a smooth bore legally,I dunno but seems to be the opinion of some probably more up on the laws than my self.
Just an example of my ignorance, what is the AHJ?
We shouldn't even need legal definitions of these things. Imagine if "smartphone" had a legal definition, and building in something like an alarm clock made it illegal.
.....I will bet the mossy meets shotgun requirements so as not to be NFA. There are many pistol grip shotguns but all have criteria as to be not NFA.......
