Why did Ruger never make a small pistol (not a Charger, something you could CCW) with the worlds most dependable 22lr action?

I'm having trouble picturing how that would work. The bolt assembly is pretty wide on a 10/22, shrinking it down would be interesting. I'm not a machinist though, so someone with more imagination might be able to make it happen.

Just get bigger pants and a down jacket and conceal the Charger. That's the real answer here. ;)

The MARK II Pistol is pretty darn close! I have one for every 10/22 I own!

Didn't think about the width of the action. That would be hard to fit in a CC handgun.

I don't think the 10/22 action (1.26" wide, without the charging handle) is any wider than a Glock Model 30 slide (1.27").

The Glock Model 30 was the only 45 ACP Concealed Carry Model Glock had, before the Model 36 came along.

It's that all? Narrower than I had it figured. Thanks for the diagram
