This is too cool! Green Mountain Rifle Barrel company is working on a quick change switch-barrel system for the Marlin 25MN, giving two barrels and an adapter that mounts in the receiver.

This is in the early stages, but is expected to make it to production later this year. The testing looks very promising, accuracy is very good. The second prototype is in the works now, including fluted barrels and some modifications from the first model. It is hoped to sell for under $200.
It will require gunsmith installation (or a very good amatuer!).
They may produce a limited number intially, to test the market. With the Marlin .17 so scarce in my neck of the woods, I find this very interesting.
