Thats a tough one...Educated guess is around 1100 to 1300.
    Primarily due to Condition.
Is it Marked Mauser anywhere ???
    What's on the Toggle?

  3. It's a Mauser Luger 42 Code 1939. One on AA for 2400, but that's way over priced. Unless yours is a rare variation, 800-1200 is more likely. To bad some idiot put his ssn on it, that really hurt the collector value. Still a nice old Luger.

  4. a very good chunk

    over a grand

try looking at gunsamerica.com or other auction sites

I could find no markings to indicate it was made by Mauser, other than the number 42 which is a model made by them.

Ok , that is better...A code 42 is one of the most frequently encountered WW2 Lugers... By Blue Book and condition...around 1000 dollars....!
