This new caliber uses a .277 light grained bullet. What kind of case does it have?
Is it totally new or necked up .223 case? I like the reviews of it and meant to open a box at local shop to see. Just curious.

The case is based off of the .30 Remington I believe. It certainly is gaining a larger following now that it has been updated with different a chamber and the twist rates of the barrels changed from 1:9.5 or 1:10 to 1:11 or 1:12 even. This change has allowed it to increase velocity as much as 200fps while keeping the pressures down. Not to mention more bullet manufactures are producing more bullets that are tailored for this caliber.
