where can I get some good quality surplus 8 mm mauser ammo. looking for fmj and soft point. I have a old mauser that s fun to shoot but I can't find any good surplus stuff. tha last batch I bought had a lot of cracked cases and misfires. (scary)

You might want to check AIM, www.aimsurplus.com, or Centerfire Systems. Both have recently advertised some fairly recent year (1980's) production Yugoslavian 8mm ammo at good prices. I got several hundred rounds of the 1970's production from AIM the last time they had it and have had no problems in my Mausers.
