A Message From The Citizens Of The "Great Satan" To The Rest Of The World

    ToogoodReports ^ | August 28, 2002 | John Hawkins

Anyone who regularly reads non-American newspapers can tell you it's the fault of the United States that there's so much pollution in the world. We' re also responsible for floods in Europe, earthquakes in Afghanistan, and if global warming ever actually happens that'll be our fault as well for not signing the totally ineffective Kyoto protocol.

We're regularly denounced at the UN for not signing treaties that would have a larger negative impact on us than any other nation. We're accused of wanting to be "above the law" for not recognizing the authority of an international criminal court treaty that we have not ratified and have "unsigned."

Japan and South Korea resent the soldiers we've had in their nations for decades to defend them from their enemies. African leaders denounce America for not giving them enough aid even as their hands are stretched out asking for more. European leaders look down their noses at Americans despite the fact that we came to their rescue multiple times in the last century.

9/11 was even our fault because we made Osama Bin Laden angry by keeping our infidel soldiers on the "holy sand" of Saudi Arabia to keep fellow Muslim Saddam Hussein from invading. We're constantly told that we have to convince the "Muslim street" that we're not infidel crusaders who want to continue a centuries old fight with them that ended before the US even became a nation. After more than a decade of trying to make peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians, the Palestinians had a party in the street when their heroes in Al-Queda murdered almost 3,000 Americans.

Well the citizens of the "hyperpower", "imperialist hegemony", "Great Satan" or whatever else you want to call us are starting to weary of being the whipping boy for the rest of the planet. In particular, a few things really grind on our nerves.

    • The leaders of African nations who've hopelessly wrecked their countries complaining that we don't give them enough money. Maybe if they spent a little more time and effort improving the lives of their citizens and a little less time looking for Western money to sock away in their Swiss bank accounts everyone would be better off.

    • European leaders who criticize America to score points with the lefties back home. They might want to start thinking about whether damaging their nation's relationship with the US is more important than scoring a few points in their next election.

    • European government officials, columnists, etc, who act as if the United States is the focus of evil in the modern world. Between WW1, WW2, the Marshall Plan, and the Cold War we've been pretty good to Europe over the last century or so and treating us like we're some sort of global menace after all of that is ingratitude of the worst sort.

    • Europeans who decry America's use of force to protect it's own citizens from terrorists but who had no such issues with getting American help to liberate European nations and protect European citizens from harm.

    • Nations that sit on the sidelines and carp about how the United States is getting in the way of their unrealistic and utopian version of the way the world works. It's very easy to complain when other nations take all the risks while your nation reaps the rewards for their actions.

    • People who whine that America looks out for it's own interests as if that' s not the case for every single nation in the world.

    • Any representative of the Saudi government who complains about anything having to do with the US. Considering that we saved Saudi Arabia from Iraq in the Gulf War we had reason to expect a little gratitude. They repaid us by setting up anti-US schools and mosques across the world, by supplying 15 of the 19 Sept. 11 hijackers, and by refusing to let us use our military bases on their soil for attacks on Iraq. I think we've heard about enough from the Saudis to last about the next 50 years.

    • Middle-Eastern mouthpieces for Arab dictators who complain about bad press in the US moments before they shill for terrorist supporting nations.

    • Out of touch United Nations bureaucrats who try to foist their social science experiments on the whole world in general and the US in particular. The UN may view itself as some sort of 'world government' but we view them as a bunch of bumbling incompetents who have no authority to tell us to do anything.

If you want to disagree with something the US does that's fine with me. But the contrarian & reflexively hostile opposition to almost everything we do has long since gotten old. Especially when it comes from people who take our money, our protection, or who benefit substantially from the things we accomplish without having to bear their fair share of the risk or the costs. Too many people across the world have started to think that getting US support when they're in trouble is axiomatic. But the next time another "world crisis" occurs (and there will always be a next time), we're going to be able to ask for the first time since the Revolutionary war, "what did they do for us when we needed help?" If the answer to that question is "they sat on the sidelines and complained," then as far as we're concerned, don't call us and we won't call you.
    :p

  2. Knowing we have long forgotten those American soldiers that died from 1776 on........

Knowing our politicians have ignored and shirked the homeless and hungry while supporting other countries.....

Knowing as a citizen I am entitled to far less than someone who comes across the border illegally........

Knowing that the powers to be have tabled nearly every effort to help the elderly and their health care while we set up hospitals around the world.......

Knowing that Americans struggle for a college education, or any education for that matter, when a foreign immigrant is granted grants up the yazoo...then split, never to be repaid......

Knowing that countries ask for our military assistance and then ask for money afterwards to pad the pocket.....

Knowing that the STRONGEST nation on earth, that has rarely turned their back on any other country in times of need, is constantly being given the cold shoulder by other countries because those countries know our's is the weakest when it comes to taking care of it's own.....

Knowing tonight there will be over 1 MILLION teenagers that have run away from home and living on the streets....who can blame them for their disillussions?

Knowing that my OWN parents, who once had more than they could ever ask for, are now down to their last with medical bills when anyone NOT a citizen can get free medical care in our country?

All, I can say is Amen. brother, Amen! Most of us can sleep at night and live with OUR conscience......can those (including our own politicians) who spit in the wind forget the feeling of it coming back on them?

Can they have a sleepful night? Perhaps...but it's not without consequence.

Someday, everyone will have to answer for their actions.

Will the world's cold hearted politicians and leaders be able to explain why they hide behind a vail of seemingly do gooding and still explain why so many Americans still suffer here at home?

    Not in the end!

Really good postings. I feel the same way. I would like to see us turn into an isolationist nation,at least until we take care of our own people. See how they like it when we don't give them $$ or protection.

Then our enemys will move in and give the countrys we ignore the money and food and indoctrination against capitalism and the free ideals that sane countrys should live by. You think we have terrorist nations that hate us now, try pulling out of the global political arena and see what happens then. Like it or not we must be police in one area and lend a helping hand in others even if it does get bit from time to time. Then no one can say we didn't try.

The way I feel is that we should not sacrifice the future of our children and their children for a tar baby. It's that simple!
A tar baby is like quicksand taking in eveything it can and never releasing it.Why would anyone want to throw their young into it I'll never know.
We need to look out for our own first and if we have any surplus left over use it to help our FRIENDS!

Isolationism would get us nowhere, you must be a part of the global voice out there or ideas and doctrines would go ahead without our input and would mostly be against us. We no longer have a corner on the precious resources that a country needs to survive, we p i s s e d ours away a long time ago.

NRAJOE, are you willing to put your son or daughter, or someone in your family or your neighbors in harms way??? and not get upset when they come home in a body bag??? do you like the USA being the worlds police force, in every backwater countries strife, knowing full well that they hate us??? are you going to gladly give up your rights and soverenty to some third world potentate in the UN??? war is hell, and sometimes we have to fight, but getting in on all these local wars is starting to get on my nerves!!! the purpose of war is to gain territory, dispose of its leadership and gain control!!! not give it back along with billions of aid!!! so if its a new world order you want i will check myself out at the appropriate time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1:mad:

  12. NRA -- I am not trying to speak for you, but I would like to make a reply in my behalf. PAPA G you make sense, but we should have followed this thought process years ago. It's too late. If the U.S. try's to go this alone--we are cutting our own throats. I don't like the thought of U.S. being the worlds police force, but hind sight is well 40 years ago. If my son or daughter returns in a body bag--that's the choice they made fully knowing the consequences of their decicision. I would not recommend any person joining the military in these days. I have never agreed that we as a nation
should be bailing out other foreign countries. Let's say from the Get--Go we took care of our people only. Now what. This is a warm fuzzy feeling--every one else is communist controlled. Do you think we could take them? I am true blue American, but we need our allies. WAR is POLITICS always had been--that's a shame. As far as N.W.O. It's already in place. NRA wasn't agreeing with it just stating the facts.

I never said I agreed with the NWO or the UN! I have said countless times on here that the UN should get out of the US! As alan said its too late. Look what isolationism got the old USSR, decay, corruption, last to the party in world politics and technology passed them by. Thank you alan for being able to see what I was saying and not blowing it out of proportion!

  14. Gentlemen this isn't a good time to be independent. We go this alone and we will have a big problem. I am not saying we couldn't do it-- I am saying we shouldn't do it. Isreal is the key. We either hang with them or as a nation we will answer for it. As for me I am not prepared to do that.
