hey every one i'm not a beginner but i have a stupid question . when people say they shoot at targets and say i shoot a moa and the other ones they say too what does that mean moa?maybe some one can list all the abreviations and put on the side of them what they mean?

  2. Tommy, moa= minute of angle. In talking about gun accuracy "moa" is a term used to describe a guns accuracy. For instance, if a rifle shoots 1 inch groups at 100 yards, than it is shooting within 1 minute of angle.

Geomtry. A circle has 360 degrees. Each degree has 60 minutes ( generally called minute of angle). Each Minute has 60 seconds. No, I am not making this up. One Minute of Angle is approximately 1" at 100 yards, 2" at 200 yards, and so on, as Hooker had noted above.
