Has anyone had an acc-u-rail system put on one of their .45s. I want to tighten a frame to slide on a pistol I'm building up for IPSC. This system looks like a great idea and I think the concept is ALOT better than bending and peening. Any comments or observations on this would be much appreciated. TIA Eric
  2. Eric,

I've worked on a few guns that have had the Accu-Rail system installed before I got it in the shop. You're right, it's a good way to tighten the frame/slide fit, and if it ever loosens up, then it can be tightened simply by purchasing a slightly larger rail (they're sole in increments of .001 I believe). In addition to Bob Krieger, who cam eup with the idea, there are a number of shops around the country that he has licensed to do the install. The price typically runs about $200.00 last I heard.
