Inherited this antique pistol from my Grandfather when he passed. It looks like it came off the set of Pirates of the Caribbean.

Can anybody help a Vet identify this pistol?

Can you see any markings of any kind anywhere? If so, try to take pics of those, will help a lot.

Definitely an old Flintlock black powder pistol. Should have some markings and what size is the bore

Ramsay Sutherland is recorded as a gunmaker and sword maker at. 1 Caroline Street, Birmingham Great Britain between 1829 and 1839

When the War of 1812 broke out, there was a sudden rush to arm Britain’s Indian allies for defense of Canada.

Ramsay & Richard Sutherland made 2,587 pistols for this purpose
