Would this help? These guys carry most of the parts, and cheep. They also have pics posted of the parts they have in stock.
Used to own one, but can not remember too much about it. Do not know what you are trying to find out, or if I might even remember or Know.

I have that schematic. It's from numrich. They list the Stevens 54, 37, 37b and 54b bolt body as the same. So, I found a 37b bolt body on ebay. I Purchased all the 54 parts from numrich. Put them all together but it did not work in my 54. Apparently there is a difference in the 54, 37 and the 54b, 37b. I'm not exactly sure what the difference is but I'm thinking the 54, 37 bolt must be a little longer.
Anyway Thanks for your help.

I would alms bet the B is an improved version. I have ran into this with other guns, where a suffix means1 part was improved, or modified. I have only owned a fully functional 54.So all is speculation for me.
I would mike every thing and educate yourself on what the difference is.
Then relist the bolt with the measurements and as b only.
There were a bunch of these made, the right bolt will show up sooner or later.

FYI is right, the Model 54 is a nice single shot, falling block rifle and if you had one of those you would have something to bragg about. BUT, go back to the Numrich schmatics and check out the Stevens Model 58 and Model 59. They are both .410 bolt action shotguns. And if that is what you have, Numrich has parts
My Stevens 54 is not a rifle. It's a shotgun. The Stevens 59 and 58 will not work in the 54. Numrich has none in stock. But Thanks for your help.
have you tried bobs gun parts in ark?

It appears that you've tried Numrich, Bob's Gun Parts and some of the other sources already. Have you tried this place as well?

the only place left is calling ebay or gunbroker gun scavengers who make a living raping guns for profit.
this is a tuff challenge for sure.

whats makes it double hard is is its a cheap gun and most cheap guns have found their way to the dump by now. people i deal with wanting old gun parts like this are left buying a whole gun just to get one part needed.

Stevens machine tool company made the 54 rifle in 32 rimfire, durring the late 1800's early 1900 it was very much like the famous 44 and 44 1/2. However Savage, who had bought them out, made the Stevens 54 s 410 shotgun in the 1930's.

Here's a guy in Irving, Texas. They do not maintain working website with online inventory and ordering. I've been to the shop a couple times scrounging Mauser parts and see them at some of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area gun shows with some of their inventory.

I have a j stevens 410 bore proof model 54 A.
Trying to find out more about it.
Probably won't help but I have a fully functional 39A in my gun safe. With the exception of two overseas tours it has been with me since I was about 13 years old. It will be leaving me one of these days to go home with one of my grandsons. The only non original thing on it is a four digit id number that I put there.
