Yeah, I know it's an oldie, but I had one back in the 80's and I kinda miss the old rascal. Can't even find a PIC to show anyone what I'm talking about...

I'm sure they were made in the Phillipines. I haven't even heard of one in years. The last one I remember seeing was at a gun show many years ago.

No, but it uses the same action as my Model 20C sporter carbine - great little .22 rifle! Puts my Ruger 10-22 to shame, in both accuracy and reliability.

I'm kinda shocked that it went for $155 without a mag...

I can say the best thing in the world to do for one is to sand off the black paint and stain 'em...parawood is a VERY nice light color so you can make it match anything...or just go nuts with colored stain. Hunter Green looks awesome :)

Both Numrich and The Sportsman's Guide have magazines for the Armscor .22 rifles. The ten rounders are factory, and twice the price of the fifteen round aftermarket mags.
The Armscor magazines are well-made and rugged - the heart of any semi-auto is it's magazines - and it's Achilles Heal!

I've got one that needs a trigger. I plan on ordering one in the next few weeks to put this thing back in service.

OOPS, I forgot to add that the Squires-Bingham Model 16 is now the ARMSCOR M-1600 :)

    Same stuff, different day.

The Original WAS spraypainted black...it might not have been done by the last owner..lol

On mine it was the All-wood stock...after sanding off the stock with sanding sponges, we applied a simple Black Walnut stain (DO NOT USE MINWAX!!) on the Parawood (White Mahogany) stock. It looked GREAT!!

My uncle has it now...he picked it up outta my grandfather's closet after he passed away...nobody told me till a few weeks ago, I thought Grandpa had sold it while I was in the Army. Needless to say I'm working towards getting it back ;)

As I posted above, they were Spraypainted black FROM THE FACTORY!!

I can say honestly that my old S-B 16 looked pretty darn rough for a new rifle. But back then, fit & finish was not the primary order of the day in P.I.

But if you sand off the stock, & stain it with ANYTHING BUT MINWAX, or paint it...it'll be fine :)

I know they were from the factory like that, some kind of plasticoat actually. melted right away when a heat gun hit it, no chemical stripper needed. only a dull pocket knife and heat.

the metal now, that rust i had sucked donkey juebos.
