509th Scareborne in Venchencia (sp?) was good dang duty!

That is the slop between the end of the stock and the buffer.

To stop the buffer knock, you would have to take up the slack between the bolt-buffer-spring-stock area.

I have seen many different attempts at this. Even if you manage to bring up all the slack between all the parts. You will still get some noise when the buffer its rock bottom in the buffer well.

Just want to add to the last suggestion. I have been told that any fooling around with the spring system could cause reliability problems. I find it annoying also, but I just live with it
    Good luck

Hi Riccardo, I'm still waiting on the Garand with the DAS stock so I will let you know hopefully in a few days what it looks like. Hope all is well. Rick B
