    You can still find them reasonable. Have to look at a few military surplus rifle parts suppliers. Maybe FleaBay which I don't buy from myself.

    I wish that I had a better idea of the date my gun was made ! it is a series 3 type 99 serial # 16158 I think 20200120_135539.jpg

    I am disabled due to , to many heart attacks ! It will take some time for me to save up enough money to buy the parts for the bolt

    You can actually get a pretty good idea by looking up the arsenal mark. Different arsenals got different serial blocks in different years.

    Series 3 was produced from September of 1942 through early 1943.

    I hope things turn around in your favor. Shooting aged military arms is very interesting. My little brother's first hunting rifle was a Type 99 rechambered to a .30-06. The .311 bore shooting a .308 was not accurate, but fun.:)
