I just recently bought some holsters from a holster maker out of Maryland. He makes scabbard style holsters of SUPER quality. His stuff is very unique and all of his holsters are lined, which is rare in today's holster market.

Check him out: James Alan Holster and Leatherwork

I highly recommend... I wear one of his holsters almost daily.

Yep, me too. But right now I'm hooked on the Crossbreed Supertuck Deluxe.

LOL. In Illinois, I can only carry on my property, which believe me, I do. But I will admit, I have left the house gotten in my truck only to realize upon going to buckle myself in that I'd forgotten to take something out of the holster. Because I truly forget it's there. And I'm not carrying a compact or small handgun. It's the Service model XD. So, no lightweight. lol

But yea, always like to check out other holsters. Prices seem reasonable also. And the look very nice to boot.

They do look nice, but aren't my particular "cup of tea". I tend to lean more toward the kydex holsters.

    Nice leather.
I've been test driving an Israeli-made IWB for my 1911 from 76.2 Precision (in Anchorage, AK). The only contention I have with it, thus far, is that it needs a little more height between the grip and your skin (to act as a barrier). I've just been wearing a camisole under whatever I'm wearing - to make up the difference.

Thanks -- very nice ! I love custom leather and it is durable and has a WONDERFUL smell.

I have several holsters (pancake belt style) made by Simply Rugged (which have a beautiful basketweave pattern)--conceal quite well and are wonderful holsters.

Is filling out the order information and clicking purchase the only way to find out how much a specific holster costs?

From past experience, this tells me they aren't cheap. not that well made high quality leather holsters are or should be. But I'd still like to know how much. Or are the prices there and I'm completely blind? lol

I went to the website, and other than the two holsters on the main page, none of the pictures show up. Just get the boxes with the little red X. Oh, well! Don't really need a holster right now anyway. I still like looking at them though.
