I recieved my 03A3 from the CMP today, but I can't figure out what manufacture the barrel is, it has an HS with almost a crown flaming looking mark under it and then the normal date as all the 03's Does anyone know what HS stands for?

High Standard - a WWII replacement barrel. I don't see any of these on an SC or Rem 03A3 - wonder what the story is?

High Standards are considered very good barrels.
