I don't have an exact comparison but do have similar experience with a Benelli Super Black Eagle and Beretta A400.

I hunted and shot sporting clays for several years with my Super Black Eagle and never had a single issue. Thousands of rounds through that gun and it cycled everything that I threw at it. I did get tired of chasing shells for my reloads and started to take the sport more serious and ended up going to an over/under. With the two barrels it's heavier and does help with the swing through, you can have more than one choke, ported barrels, etc...for shooting clays.

One of my shooting friends normally shoots a Browning O/U but has a Beretta A400 that he uses on occasion. He has had a few minor issues with cycling the second round once in a while. I've shot it a couple of times; it shoots relatively soft and seems accurate enough for me.

Not sure if I helped or muddied the water for you, but that's what I can offer you.

I will shoot a Browning Silver 20 ga for sub-gauge sporting clays once in a while and not had any issues with it either. My daughter used it for trap when she was in 4H and will shoot it for sporting clays when she is home.

I'm a waterfowl hunter too, the Benelli has shot everything from 2-3/4" game club loads to 3-1/2" BB or T's for geese.
