I'm in the market for a varmint gun, preferably a .243. Sort of depressed now. I was looking for a good bolt action gun. In the five companies I've looked at, none of them make a left handed bolt action varmint gun. Left handed versions aren't made until you get into the bigger calibers (.270 and higher).

So I'm curious what other lefthanders are doing out there. Are you going to a lever action? If so, have you had a problem with hot brass being ejected near your face?

i understand your problem- probably your best bet is to find an older remington 788 in left hand either .243, or 6mm rem.

i AM REAL SURE THAT SAVAGE makes a left hand varmint gun and it will be real hard to beat the accuracy and price

Go with the Remington model 700 VS in left handed version. You can choose .223, .22-250, or .308. You will not disappointed. :)
