Man for $180 I'd pick it up in a heartbeat. But when strapped for cash you have to let somethings slide....I hate missing out on a good deal.

I had just picked up a 1917 for $270, sporterized only in the stock but intact otherwise, which filled my 30-06 bolt gun needs. Otherwise I'd have had to stretch.

i just bought that same rifle. with 165 gr rem. i was shooting 1 in at 100 yards. it is a very accurate rifle

After seeing this post I am interested in the rifle as well, anyone else have it yet? if so post some accuracy/general feedback!

as far as the questions about sling swivels, they are molded directly into the stock. Wally world has a nice bipod that does fit, i even had my former associates at the counter check. The only reason I got mine in 06 is that my 8mm mauser needs a lot of work before it goes back to the range and i can buy surplus 06 ammo at a decent price for plinking.

i've been itching for a .243. Never fired one but always keep hearing good things about it when kept within it's limitations. And that said it has a wood stock. Might have to bite on this one if i ever get enough cash together without blowing it on something else.

I'm still not totally sure about the stocks on these Short Action Models. All the long action stocks are synthetic. And one call "Wood Dip" which looks an awful lot like real wood, but it's still Synthetic.

I am desperretly hopeing Mossbergs line of boltaction rifles will fare well for them and the shooters because there really ain't much to a boltaction to cost as much as they do and Mossberg may be giveing us a quality rifle that all can afford and afford more than one...Lets hope so...A.H

well i'm happy to report i have put about 40 rounds down range with my mossberg atr 30.06 and it functions beautifully, and I was able to achieve moa at 100 yards easily!!

would highly recommend this inexpensive but quality weapon!!

the 100 atr is a great rifle and can be had in 243, 308, 270, 30-06, i shot a camo 100 atr in 308 it shot very well:burnout:

I bought a .308 back around March from Wal-Mart. I can tell you it does in fact have an available real wood stock. Only available in the short action version .243 & .308 calibers. I love this gun. It look, shoots and has the feel of a gun costing much more. I have fired approx. 100 rounds out of mine since I bought it.
