has anyone seen C.A.I.'s ad in the shotgun news for there revievers. 4140 steel and stainless steel. the steel one on mine works perfect with close to 2500 rds. no problems.

    c.a.i. headspace ?

the headspace has been checked 2 times . once when i bought the rifle and at about 1500 rds., good to go. i reload for all my guns, and this rifle is very easy on cases. i have been using 47.0 grs. of imr 4895,with 150 or 147 gr. bullets, cycles beautiful and has never failed to feed or eject. as for firing pin retraction i can see no problem. the reciever shows no sign of wear. i do keep it greased and clean.

Sounds like you got a good shooter Jim. Mine's easy on cases too,no dents on ejected brass. In several hundred rounds I've had one misfire due to ammo.
