I am thinking hard on tearing down my 10/22 and rebuilding it using a carbon fiber /chrome lined barrel. This a way it can be a tackdriver on he range an still nice n light for bunnies/squirrels.
Are they all cracked up for what the manufacturers claim?Whatis barrel life?

I don't know about longevity, but the Buttler Creek barrel I have will shoot 1/2 inch groups at 50 yards. It isn't as pretty as the Voltsquarten, but it is less expensive and it gets the job done.;)

my butler creek barrel does very nicely, it is the heavyweight stainless/fluted/ported w/bayonett, just kidding it isnt ported, no I mean no bayonett. Seriously tho Butler Creek is a good name in my book so far. not a cromelined barrel but it should last a good while I imagine in both cases. It is a 22 LR it would be different if it was a .223.
