I bought a Carlson s WIN TKY .660 for my Pardner Pump, however I am having fitment issues I think. The threading pattern is fine and screws in easy. However it does not screw in as far as it should. Meaning, when I can t tighten any further, there is still space in the bore between the choke and barrel. It s not seamless like the choke that came with the gun. You can also see between the crown of the barrel and choke, that it is not in all the way. Is this the way this choke should fit on the Pardner?

See photo of side by side, Carlson's vs H&R that came with gun.

your looking at the wrong end.
it needs to bottom out in the barrel, and the constriction is based off the bore diameter of the barrel.
I would say your hitting the threads at the bottom and not getting the right fit.

it can say .066 all it wants, but if it is .066 based off a .740 barrel and yours is a .730 you don't get .066 you get .056.
chokes are measured in thousands of an inch [.035 is a full] below the bore diameter.

Carlsons is a good company.
I would give them a call and explain what you have.
their phone number is on the right side.
