The Wyoming State Senate cut language from a self-defense bill that would have specified people were under no duty to retreat before using deadly force.

Thought the people in Wyoming were better than that. If they are I hope the vote out those Senators who gutted the bill.

"...Republican Senator Charles Scott of Casper sponsored the amendment to remove the no-retreat language.

"Scott told senators that criminal law in Wyoming is already clear that people have a right to defend themselves. He says changing the established law could have dangerous and unknown consequences."

I'm not familiar with that state's laws, but it's possible he's right. And if he's right and the law ain't broke in Wyoming, don't try fixin' it. It might just confuse things and muddy the waters.
