Has anyone purchased a PSL kit..
The one I am looking at is from Centerfiresystems.

    Romanian PSL/FPK - 7.62x54R Parts Kit #DRAKIT-MM

Doesn't come with the receiver but they do sell one.
Thinking it would be a good investment for a Romanian PSL - thoughts?

Will a Dragonov Receiver work for the PSL?

$380 for both of those items in the links. Now why is a fully put together one nearly $300 more?

Maybe the price of Absinth to keep the workers happy has gone up?

Yes, that so called Dragunov receiver will work fine as it's just a PSL reciever. And called a dragunov one by the idiot add makers for that webpage.:footinmouth:

Notice it's stamped not milled and Romanian not Russian or Chinese.

    Beat me to it Ed.

Dragunovs have many minor differences from the PSL. You wouldn't know it until you hold them side by side, or try to use parts from one in the other.

Shows in the shot groups though :)

I agree, what irks me is after awhile these cease to be "mistakes" and get to the category of "deceptive" by the people who make up the adds on these webpage.

Point's moot for now anyway. According to the link to the parts kit advertising, they are out of stock and not available for backorder.

Doesn't stop me from wanting one, though. Is there a scope mount that would fit a PSL on the market that accepts Western-style scopes? The 4x25 issue scope on the ones I have seen in the gun shops is not very good.

TWS is working on a mount for the PSL.

Also I think the BP-02S will work.

Go to Ozark Armory and ask to see the PSL they have on the wall and they will tell you they don't have one. Ask to see the Dragunov and they'll hand you the PSL. Happened to me last time I was there.

as long as they're medium or tall height. i have a short one on mine. it's really tight! probably wouldn't have fit at all, but i built the rifle and set the side mount as high as it would go.
that price on those psl kits wasn't too bad. i got one from tgi a while back for the same price. mine had the bayo lug and all parts matched though. the ones that without the bayo lug were $275 and had matching parts. i figure those from centerfire were worth $225-$250. but they sold anyway!

Thanks - got my Suomi parts kit today, I will put in an order for the PSL.

Anyone know if someone has converted a PSL to 308 WIN?
Anywhere to get a barrel or adapter for it?
308 Win seems to be very close if not in Ballistic and readily availiable.
