People will ignore it until it touches THEM.

Just like they are ignoring it right now and have been for years now. As the coup began, as the violence built and will continue to build, as the censorship spreads. When the confiscations and reparations get going THEN they MAY suddenly start to wake up.

A civil war would likely and quickly destroy the electrical grid , destroy the supply chain as we saw that little burp a few months ago but on a much grander scale . No electric means no water coming out of the faucet , no job , no bank or ATM machine , no grocery store , no gas pump , no lights , for many no stove , no freezer , no refrigerator , for some no heat or air conditioner , no cell tower for that phone . No I don't think just trying to ignore a Civil War would be very successful .
I have plenty of guns & ammo so one way or another I can get what I need. I'm old & can't run anymore so put me on the front line. I can't think of a much more patriotic way to leave this world. LOL

Guns officer? I sold all mine to John Jacob Jingle Himmer Smith about 10 years ago at a private sale. Worked with the socialist in voting. Or sold to dead people.

Mine will be used to defend the Constitution, as declared un the Bill of Rights. Maybe by others. Scattering the accumulation.

As an outsider I don't understand; if your President has evidence of corruption why does he not present it in court?
Otherwise, how can he not accept the lawfully achieved result?
As an outsider, I don't understand how people can fall for the "no evidence" schtick. There is a mountain of evidence!

None are so blind as those who will not see.

If, "Trump says mean things/has a big mouth/hurts my feefees" is the reason people voted for Biden, I'm not sure what there is left of this country to save.

Trump Positives:
1. Booming economy that only dropped due to a pandemic, and which didn't reach the high point of the Obama/Biden era until six months into lockdown.
2. Closer to world peace than any time in history thanks to a president who has brokered multiple historical peace deals.
3. No new wars.
4. Ended the mandate for the worst case of insurance fraud in world history.
5. created more American jobs than the last four presidents combined.
6. Brought back American industries.
7. Made the U.S. almost 100% energy independent.
8. Despite the weird narrative that he is anti-First Amendment he has not only caused us to go up on the world Freedom of Press index (which fell to an all-time low under Obama). He has also pushed for fairness in media and big tech.
9. Creation of most successful minority jobs program in history
10. Highest employment for minorities.
11. Is provably not racist and has more women in positions of power within his various businesses than any other business-owning politician.
12. Is respected by most foreign leaders who matter.

Trump Negatives:
1. Yankee from New York City
2. Loud, obnoxious and will not shut up (but really that's just a repeat of point #1)
3. Hurts the feefees of whiny-tit mental midgets
4. Checkered past - though nothing technically illegal
5. The bump stock ban was idiotic and gave the Federales too much leash.
6. There have been a few non-credible claims about him.

Biden positives:
1. His teeth/dentures are really white.
2. Can sometimes speak coherently for up to 30 minutes at a time.
3. Hasn't been able to sniff or grope anyone, that we know of, in several months

Biden Negatives:
1. New England Yankee
2. Might be a complete moron.
3. Clearly racist.
4. Clearly a pervert with a credible rape accusation and a massive pile of evidence showing him molesting, and invading the intimate personal space, of women and children.
5. Using his kids to launder kickbacks from Ukraine and China and selling out the American people in the process.
6. Has no clue where he is
7. His policies are estimated to cost 30 Trillion dollars, which is not only 9.5 trillion more than America's GDP, but is 36% of the entire world's GDP.
8. He wants to directly gut multiple major industries from energy production, to firearms and its related fields, to the automotive and farming industries. Those industries are worth $181 billion, $60.2 billion, $116 billion, and $1.109 TRILLION dollars in America respectively.
9. His plans would kill more than 1 million jobs in the fossil fuel industry 16.5 million in fossil-fuel adjacent jobs, 312,000 in the firearms industry, 1.7 million people directly in the automotive industry and another 8 million adjacent jobs, and would deeply affect the 22.2 million people in agriculture and the additional 2.73 million in related fields.
10. His plans would also affect pretty much every other industry and line of employment
11. He wants to strip away the 2nd Amendment
12. His VP is one of the six most evil women in politics; but not to worry, Pelosi is his third-in-line and he already announced that three of the others would have cabinet positions. If he finds a job for Hillary he will have collected the whole set.
13. Every statement he made on the campaign trail was a verifiable lie.
14. He is a puppet of Big Tech AND the banks.
15. In nearly five decades of politics he has not voted for a single thing that was actually a good thing.
16. Insults his own supporters.
17. Had less people at all of his rallies combined than the average Chick-fil-a has in customers on an average day (seriously, look up the statistics for C.F.A. versus the attendance at all Biden's rallies combined)
18. Plagiarized his way to both a college degree and a political career.
19. Might actually be evil.
20. Has promised a return to the Obama years...but with more lockdowns, even less jobs, higher inflation, a gutted industrial and agricultural sector, and probably a few additional wars.

Just the facts and nothing but the fact. Well Done Sir!

Gee whiz, all this talk about North and South, Yankees and such reminds me of my underwear drawer... a whole lot of panties in a bunch without even realizing they are all sharing the same drawer.

Heck, I loaded my AR-15 mags back in April, almost time to unload those mags and rotate to other mags. Good thing I sold all my guns years ago at the gun shows.

"The Northeast" in American geographic lingo means the six New England states plus New York State. Biden originated in Pennsylvania, which is one of the Central Atlantic States. The Northeast can't be blamed for this worthless douchebag.

I should probably shut up in this thread, but I love etymology and linguistics, and that is a fun little etymological journey in itself.

The current "accepted" version is that it comes from the Old Dutch "Janke" as a derisive term to the Dutch American settlers who were often named "Jan" or a similar derivative. An alternate version of this is that the Dutch from New Amsterdam began calling people from the English Connecticut this as a sort of reverse insult. Basically, all the English they saw would start running around like jerks yelling "Yankee" at the Dutch to insult them, so the Dutch made fun of them by claiming that was the only word they knew, and calling them "janke" right back.

One of my history books said it was from some Canadian native tribe where the term "Yangese" meant "white." I can't remember what book it was, or what tribe. I think Jack London may have used this explanation in one of his books as well, though.

Another said it was from a Huron bastardization of the French "l'anglaise", meaning "Englishman." The Huron had a great relationship with the French, not so much with the English, and their pidgin for the French term supposedly came out as something like "yangee."

Another source says it is from the Cherokee word "eankke" meaning "coward."
I also heard it was the English who took over the New Amsterdam colony derogatorially referring to the Dutch who had settled there as "Jan Cheese," since apparently they ate a lot of cheese, dairy farming being a big thing at the time in the Hudson Valley. The J being pronounced as a Y, the first name came out as "Yahn." Jan Cheese got corrupted into "Yankee" over time by the English to the point the Redcoats sang a parody version of "Yankee Doodle" (an insulting song in and of itself), with lyrics like:

Yankee Doodle came to London
For to buy a fire-lock;
We will tar and feather him,
And so we will John Hancock!

The only alternate version I know is:

Clolonel Sanders went to town
Riding on a chicken
Stuck it in a deep fryer
and called it finger lickin'.
