About a year ago "Guns & Weapons for Law Enforcement Magazine" ran an article on a suppressed barrel for the 10-22. I still have the magazine at home and if you want it I can get you the info.

theres cheaper ways to have a quiet 10/22. mine sounds like a pellet gun. try a 16" barrel and a bolt buffer, and target ammo(slower than standard vel) or some of the subsonic ammo. i actually have the magnum research carbon fiber muzzle breaked 16" barrel and with the integral muzzle break its actually about 15 and a half inches of rifled barrel, it makes for a very quiet gun.

Called the Type 64, this pistol has shown up amongst the inventories of many Communist regime's in small numbers-most notably Viet Nam. While not a problem with most centerfire suppressors, rimfire ammo tends to be very dirty so it's a good idea to buy a gun with a suppressor that you can disassemble for cleaning every once in a while. It's a complex subject, too long to go into here, but I've shot quite a few suppressed 22s over the past few years. I would recommend getting your 10/22 from SRTarms. Excellent all the way around, and can be broken down for expansion chamber cleaning.
