Finally got a AR style rifle. I bought the Colt Match Competition Hbar with the 20" barrel. I considered the Bushmaster V match but only paid $100 more for the Colt which is what I wanted. Bushmaster makes excellent rifles. My range buddy has a Bushmaster V match with the round forend and the full floating 20" barrel with no iron sights and a scope and is very happy with it.
I got the A3 style with the removable carry handle in case I decide someday to mount a scope to it. But I am really an iron sight kind of shooter, especially aperature sights like I have on my Norinco NHM-91 and my M-1 Carbine.
Well I finally have my 3 favorite types of weapons. I don't know what I will buy next but it will be a while.
