Your picture appears to be an older version of the AK pistol. The muzzle is the Krink style which makes me think it is not a Darco.

However, it looks like an early version of the Kalishnikov pistol. Here is one of the current offerings with that Krink style muzzle device.

There were a lot of different versions imported. Your picture shows the normal or full size that was imported as the Draco and others, I think with a 11.75 inch barrel. The more common today is the Mini Draco which I think has a 7.75 inch barrel. If you have not fired them, trust me, the noise and blast is significant., and why people try device and device for the muzzle, hint, nothing works, except a full auto rated suppressor., even then the noise is still annoying.
Here is one called the Hellpup Kinkov.

There are people who say that no one really has a reason to own one, but I know for a fact that they are among the very best re-assuring defensive weapons on the planet. I carried a Mini 30 in my tent when camping in bear country, after, I had a bear come into my tent one night while I was sleeping. These guns in my view are among the very best weapons to get a bear off of you or stop and attacking mob or that rare event where a group of hogs or dogs attacks a human. I have also had to walk through an area after dark where a bear had shown unusually interest in me earlier in the day, sure wish I had one of those with me then. Not many better tools that one of these for the truck gun when you get out where cell phones do not work, as I often do in 5 states. I actually did not want to spend the money and built an AR 300 BLK pistol, not the power of these and longer because of the buffer tube, but with 30 rounds I feel just fine with it in the dark.
Great little guns and really give new meaning to the term home defense. I have fired several similar, much more accurate fire than you would think by just holding it forward and aiming over the sights, hitting an 8inch gong at 25 yards is easy and 12 inch at 50 yards no big deal and man size silhouettes at 100 yards also pretty easy. Much more practical than I would have thought. And that is why the druggies and thugs use them, they work and they send a message to the other druggies and gangs they compete with.
If you think about it, one of these under your bed would be much more practical that that 12 gauge pump under my bed. If you live in town, you might want to use that frangible ammo but the otherwise any cheap Russian ammo works great in these. I like the 154 grain soft point loaded by Wolf and Tullamo myself.
