OK I know that these are the same as the Dragoons with the exception they were sighted in without the bayonet. Is there any way of telling the difference when you look at one?

Cossack rifles are scarce today and easily recognized by the mark "Ka3" on the chamber.

That Ka3 is actually a link, on my panel it's quite hard to tell.

Yep, KA3 is (KAZ) in Russian or "казак" (kazAk) stress on the last syllable. Good pic with a great example of one.

Has anyone here actually seen one? I have a Dragoon but not a Cossack.

Then they are lucky! I'd love to get hold of one, that's for sure. I'd also love to get hold of a Dragoon that has not been converted.
