Me and my friend were talking about how his father (whose hunted everything on this earth for the last 50 years) has more than 100 deer,moose,
elk antlers,just collecting dust.COULD you make a front grip for an AK out
of stag???? We have 2 moose antlers that were given to him,just for this
purpose.Before we destroy these antlers.Does anyone have an opinion on
stag being put on the front grip. Really wanting to know if stag could stand
up to the heat,concussion of an AK-47... Any thoughts.....

I have no experience machining bone. I'd need to know the dimensions of the bone. Could be doable, depending.

Unfortunately Antlers are Pithy in the middle and not solid like the outer parts.
Softer inside ! Like a sponge looks !

Perhaps use the stag as overlay panels on a slimmed wood piece?
It would certainly be interesting!

Well handguards are hollowed out, so if it gets harder towards the surface, it wouldn't be the stronger part that gets removed.
