Dan Rather tells it like it is!

In Nov on the eve of our victory my family and I were in a cabin,on a mountain in East Tennessee watching the news but unable to record it.I felt it might be important as I rarely see the media loose it's cool and speak from the "heart?"
    It is as follows.
"Tonight,Nov. 26th,2000,Katherine Harris, our State Secretary announced that by Florida law she had certified Florida's votes and awarded Florida's 25 electoral voted to Gov. George Bush.
This was immediately followed by Dan Rather who repeatedly reassured us that this was not a fact but only her own personal belief. The people of Florida thought they had voted for Mr. Bush, but they were mistaken.
He promised "four years of grid lock" if tis ruling were allowed to stand.
He thewn said this ruling could not stand as "He,the rest of the media, and their party were in a very strog position and had several strong points that would be revealed in the next few days. THese would be filed and then the will of the people will be served."
Mr. Lieberman then came on the air and condemned everyone who didn't believe the same.
During the rest of the evening the news barely mentioned the fact that George W.bush was our new president elect, and then it was mentioned only in a passing manner. After all these weeks of trumpeting day and night every snippet of news, when the big event finally happened, all this was leadind up to...nothing!
I guess they are just sore loosers. This proves to me that there is a strong media bias,as if there were any doubt,if their man had gotten in office they would be dancing in the streets.
If the "Democrooks" don't somehow steat this election Mr. Bush and America are going to have a rough four years with the media fighting all the way!
God bless America and President Bush!
And that's the way it was back in our bi-centennial election!

    My favorite

My favorite was before the election was when Gore was asked what would happen if the election awarded more points to Gore but the popular vote went to GW.

Gore smiled and said It's a good thing that we have a constitution that tells us how to act when this sort of thing happens. Guess he forgot he read it when the votes were tallied.

Look at this fact: Clinton the greatest president alive! (not my words) The greatest economy ever the balanced budget, reduced deficits etc... etc... all because of the Clinton/Gore team. Gore Should have cleaned the floor with GW and couldn't. He barely got him in the popular vote and lost the Electoral vote.

Actually the popular vote may never be established for the 2000 election. Some states end the popular vote count when a clear victor (65-70%) is announced. No other state recieved the popular vote attention like:Florida, Iowa, New Mexico, and (oddly enough) Washington(Senate race). The map of the counties carried by Bush and the ones carried by Gore tells the tale for me.

I saw a special on PBS last night about the creation of the Federal Reserve, I cannot remember the name of the program, but it was very enlightning. About the illegal creation and still illegal operation of the Fed, really incredible. They talked about a group the "Bildebergs" ? a "social" group comprised of the "heads" of the main banks, the people who really run the Fed. Anyhow Bill Clinton made an appearance at one of these gatherings back in '91 before anyone heard of him, next thing you kow?!?!?!
If I can remember the program I'll forward, but it was a eye opener about the Fed and the illegalality of it. How it influences elections etc...

Something interesting about the Fed... it has never been audited by any branch of the government. John Hagee, www.jhm.org, a pastor and historian out of San Antonio, Texas gives a great study on the Fed. A real eye-opener to those who have no idea what the Fed is or what it controls. I heard him back in 1992 and was astounded by the amount of information this man had. Basically the Fed doesn't answer to any branch of government... scary.

There are far from enough facts to indicate that Clinton was elected by the people at any time. In fact there have been polls that show the exact opposite.

listening to Talk Back Live on Cnn. about Bush's handling of the Israel retaliation for bombings. one guy and editor so some liberal rag ( didn't catch his name and rag) was whinning about the president select., and Bush has no foriegn policy experience. why can't these media bimbos get over it!!! as far as experience; what 1st time president has experience, in any thing at the federal level??.

At least "Dubya" has the advantage of his father's experience. I am sure there have been more than a few Father/Son talks on foreign policy and other issues. George W isn't going to ignore a golden opportunity like that. George Sr has had ample time to study the pros and cons of his actions. Maybe Jr. can rectify some earlier errors.

Hi Big Dog,I think you are probably right on your excellent observation,it is so much easier to pick an experianced brain and learn than learn from your own mistakes,he would really be a fool not to pick the old mans brain,I know I would!
II only hope this is the case and he doesn't repeat his fathers mistakes!:cheer:

The Bildebergs run this country and the rest of the world.George Bush, Clinton, old George Sr., they are all members of the same group[ [email protected] Bones]. Do you guys remember oldGeorge saying in one of his speeches, that he was a member of a seceret group, and that was all he would say about that.Do you remember him talking about the new world order. I read on this forum how bad Clinton was,how he didn't serve in the army and he was out to make what he could for himself. What happend to George when he joined the air guard, and never showed up,didn't they have to go after him. I didn't see a thing about that on here. Why did George sr. stop after we got the oil fields in Kawit, he could have stopped Sadam forever, but he didn't. This country was working before George took over. Now everything that goes wrong is because of 9/11, what a load of BS that is. Am i suppose to believe that everything in this world revolved around two buildings. Enough for now Fred

That's pretty much what the TV show was all about. The Bildebergs, the Center of Froiegn relations and the "Tri-Lateral Commission" all were in the special. They also talked about a un-known peanut farmer from Geargia, unknown unitl he was invited to a Bideberg meeting somewhere in Europe back inthe late '70's.
Pretty darn wierd and pretty pethetic, all the orders come from England, what the report said.

George Bush didn't move on after Saddam Hussein in Iraq because the unified force leaders (from several other western countries) wouldn't back him. They pulled the plug on him. George Bush Sr. took the blame but he didn't have full control in that war.

    Right on Oxford

I remember that fact as well.
Remember the presidential debates (the 2nd or third I believe) when Algore was asked a question about the mideast (and Iraq).

I can't remeber his actual response but it was one that blamed GW senior for Hussein not being taken out. Something like "we didn't go far enough". He attempted to blame the current (at the time) terrorist problems with Hussein on the Bush Presidency.

HE was never called on it either. GW should have [email protected]#$%^* slapped him for talking smack to his daddy!

I don't think GB, has what it takes to slap anyone. What do you think he will do if the jews don't get out of Palistine? I would like to know what right we [USA] haveto tell anybody what to do.
We could have taken Sadam out with out any help, after all we did most of the fighting anyway. Now read my lipps no new taxes, who said that? What happend after that? These people will lie to you faster than a goose will go barefoot, and that goes for REPUBS. OR DEMS. I a little about Al GORE, my aunt worked for his father she didn't have to much good to say for either of them.I asked him for help when we were having trouble getting our V.F.W. started, but you know what I got none. The only reason I vote Dem. ,They let me make enough to live. Fred

What do ya mean by "they let you make more"?

We have no right to tell israel what to do while we are taking over afghanistan! But if there is a war the oil is cut off and the babies here will start whining about price of gas "we got to stop it gas is too High! Our country is too much of a wus to take on the oil cartel.

Something reminded me of this joke. We need more humor at times.

    Just Fred

A local law enforcement officer stopped a car for traveling faster than the posted speed limit.
Since he's in a good mood that day he decides to give the poor fellow a break and write him
out a warning instead of a ticket. So, he asks the man his name.

    "Fred," he replies.

    "Fred what?" the officer asks.

    "Just Fred," the man responds.

When the officer presses him for a last name, the man tells him that he used to have a last
name but lost it. The officer thinks he has a nutcase on his hands but plays along with it. "Tell
me Fred, how did you lose your last name?"

The man replies, "It's a long story so stay with me. I was born Fred Dingaling. I know, funny
last name. The kids used to tease me all the time.

So I stayed to myself. I studied hard and got good grades. When I got older I realized that I
wanted to be a doctor. I went through college, medical school, internship, residency, finally got
my degree so I was Fred Dingaling, MD.

After a while I got bored being a doctor so I decided to go back to school. Dentistry was my
dream. Got all the way through school, got my degree so I was now Fred Dingaling MD DDS.

Got bored doing dentistry so I started fooling around with my assistant. She gave me VD. So, I
was Fred Dingaling , MD DDS with VD. Well, the ADA found out about the VD so they took away
my DDS so I was Fred Dingaling , MD with VD.

Then the AMA found out about the ADA taking away my DDS because of the VD, so they took
away my MD leaving me as Fred Dingaling with VD. Then the VD took away my 'dingaling' so
    now I'm just

The officer walked away in tears, laughing so hard and tore up the Warning Ticket.

I bet that brings on more talk.I hope gas goes to 10.00 a gallon, maybe then the American people will get off their butt and stick together. The Bildebergs are the oil cartels. They controll the Bushes,Gores. After 9/11 look at all the money that popped up for all kinds of reasons[BILLIONS] for this that and another, but we didn't have any for the old folks,or hungery kids,we have them in the USA to.The more money they throw out the more the big boys can skim off. OK Fred, lets take your points in the order you made them.
    1. I have seen no credible evidence that the "Bildebergs", Tri-Lateral Commision, Illuminati, Masons or any other such group runs the world.
    2. Who is George senior? George Foreman? The only Junior and Senior involved in national politics lately were the Albert Gores.
    3. I have not heard of George H.W. Bush making such a claim. What were his exact words and what speech was it?
    4. Yes, he talked about a New World Order, but what he meant was quite different from what people mean now with a single world socialist government.
    5. No, Clinton was not criticized for not serving in the army. He was criticised, among many other things, for being a draft dodger and organizing anti American protests in foreign countries during the war.
    6. Who said George W. Bush never showed up for the Air National Guard? You are seriously misinformed. You did not see anything about it here because it is a lie.
    7. The reason George H.W. Bush stopped from wiping out the Iraqis is because the goal was to protect the Saudis and liberate Kuwait, and decimate the Iraqi military. Unlike prsidents like JFK, LBJ, Carter, and Clinton, Bush had clear objectives and followed the battle plan. If he would have tried to wipe out Iraq, all the other Arab countries would have declared war on us.
    8. We do not have everything going wrong because of 9/11 or anything else. Major strawman argument. The terrorist plan was
started during the previous administration, which also gutted the INS and grossly mismanaged the updating of government computer resources.
    9. How nice that the Dems "LET" you make make enough to live. I would LOVE to hear the details of that.

3.Like I Remember all his speechs.
4.Guess he should have made it more clear.
    5.That he was.
6.I didn't say I saw it here,I thank it was in the Tennesseean, that I read that after joining he didn't show up,and the ap had to go after him.
    7.Yes it was very clear.
8.Every thing you hear, read,tv, starts out because of 9/11.I don't think 9/11 has anything to do with the way this country is screwed up.
9.Yes it is nice of them. The key word I guess would be union. They turn lose a lot more money for new jobs for union workers.
  20. You know Fred some of your typing makes since.
