I listned to some VeitNam vets talk about the attrocities that the NVA committed aginst their own people to keep them from supporting us, and about the sappers...human bombers. I read about the kamakzie piolets..who flew to their death...the Willingness of the SS to kill millions of men women and children during the holocost....stalins great purges....The hamas driver who bombed my unit in 1983 and the suacide bombers we read about too day. The list goes on and on of OTHER nations and people(s) willing to do what ever they believe it takes to win...No Limmits warfare...no opion polls not budget meetings, no rules of engagement, no political correctness. Poorly armed and equipt, barly trained and on limmited supplies our enemies of the past have come close to defeating us in all out war because of the restirctions we place on our people.

So as we face a new enemy...and enemy that walks among us...stirkes without warning and with no regard for human life...one that does not meet us on the feild of battle to do honor to war. Do we have the GUTS..the willingness to win? Can we win? Have we become too soft and or too politicaly corect to win?

I question our ability too win this war...I do not believe that the American people pack the gear to fight too win. I do not believe that people will want us to fight to win if the press shows pictures of true warfare. Nor will the people want too spend the $$ if the war goes on...too amny pet projects. I believe our enemy will win by waiting us out and strikeing us without mersey and we will settle for tokans of winning..ie bombing some tent with cruse missles as a show of forece.

Flat out I dont think we have the guts (balls) as a country anymore to fight a war.

i think that the US military is up to the task, but as long as we have traitors (democrats) in office, the country will not ahve what it takes.

we have the guts, our country was attacked worse than pearl harbour, we are strong, we have a willing leader, and a mission
just like our fathers before us, we are united and pissed off, and a believe in democracy, and like my father in ww2, and yours, and all democratic loving nations, this enemy will perish, and god bless the free countries on this earth, and God bless america, we will prevail

i wish i could belive that, i really do. I have a bad feeling that this will turn into another Vietnam, even though I have a lot of faith i Bush and the leaders of the military, i dont' belive that congress or th media will give them everything they need to win this fight. As for me, I'll give it everything i have, my life if neccesary.

Let see, we have rules of war and lawyers telling the Commander what targets to engage.

They just kill any and all Americans.

    What's wrong with this picture?

Naw this ain't never gonna be another Nam'. There we got to be one with charlie, play by his
rules, and kick his *** and take no names.

The days of the good war, heck the bad wars for that matter are gone. Now it just P.C. war.

As far as I'm concerned we have not "won" a war after W.W.II. That was before my time, and
    most of you alls.

If the military runs a war, there will be results. If Washington DC runs the war, well we know
what happens. Been there done that.

Our newest foe doesn't want to beat us. They want to drag our country down to THEIR level
and make us a 3rd world country.

What do we want to do to them? Heck I don't think any of us know.

The American people in general say "Not in my backyard". As long as that attitude exists, the
U.S. will be an easy target.

With or without a government. As long as there are Vets a live here. We will not be denied our
freedom. As we die off, and we are, then our grand children may be in trouble.

I just was thinking. After 9/11 there has been a big arms build up in the U.S.

You think it's because "they" are going to come here and invade us?

    NOT!

    Makes ya say hmmmmm?

VIETNAM IS A BAD EXAMPLE AND SHOULD NOT BE BROUGHT UP EVERYTIME WE ARE INVOLVED IN FIGHTING. IN VIETNAM WE WON EVERY MAJOR SKIRMISH WE GOT ENGAGED IN. THE MEN IN VIETNAM WERE HAMSTRUNG BY POLITICIANS AND HIGH RANKING OFFICERS WHO WERE ONLY INTERESTED IN FURTHERING THEIR CAREERS THEN WENT HOME. WE LET THE HOME POPULACE GET OUT OF HAND IN A MODERN CIVIL WAR THAT RAGED FOR YEARS. AND THE N. VIETNAMESE KNEW HOW TO USE THIS TO THEIR ADVANTAGE.I LIKE TO THINK WE LEARNED SOMETHING FROM THAT WAR BUT SOMETIMES I WONDER.....

Sorry, but I personally don't think we have what it takes.
At every turn we have the PC weinies telling us we can't offend anyone, much less kill them.
At every turn we have them telling us we must have diversity among ourselves thereby not allowing us to become united.
At every turn we have them telling us to turn the other cheek, even though they are porking us right between the cheeks.
At every turn they tell us what ever we are doing it is wrong.
We have become so divided,so confused,so feminized that I don't think we have a snowballs chance in Hell aven with our technology unless we pull our collective heads out of our butts and get our minds right and as long as we listen to the liberal media, politicians, racists, and the whole whimpey, selfish bunch in Washington we are going to continue on our downhill slide until there is no hope of surviving,or hope for our children for a deacent life as we knew it in the past.
The young people today don't remember it and they will never know as the revisionists are rewriting history to fit their socialistic agenda.
If any man with a lick of sense and a pair speaks up he is slapped with a label and the others turn on him to avoid a label themselves.
Personally I believe we have allowed ourselves to become like Palovs dog and become conditioned to do as we are told by the liberals. We have allowed ourselves to believe we are a pack of cowards, although in many cases,we aren't.
Personally I think we have blown it!:( :( :(

Rave,I agree,we have been turned into a nation of sheeple. Don't resist the terrorist, don't offend a certain group of people. After 9/11 besides the tower, what was the biggest news? The stock market! This is what we worry about now,I'm afraid I don't believe America has the Kahones either.
