Eddy Arnold passed away today. Yet another legend has left us behind. May he call those cattle in God's heaven, like he called them down here.

May he rest in peace, he'll be missed. They're all leaving us, and there's no replacement for 'em. The old times, and old entertainers are sorely missed in this house!

Eddy Arnold was my mom's favorite country singer. I remember as I was a growing lad, her favorite :"Grand Ole Oprey" country station was on the radio everyday waiting for Eddy Arnold, Johnny Cash, Tex Ritter, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Kitty Wells, Jimmie Dickens, Roy Acuff, Jim Reeves, Cowboy Copus, Patsy Cline, and many others. Now their all singing... in a better place. God speed, Eddy!

The guy on Green Acres didn't sing. He was an actor who chased Eva Gabor around a rundown farm! And yes, there was another guy named Eddie, but he had a funny hairdo, and his TV daddy was Herman Munster! And the guy who sang with the Brass was Herb Alpert! And now my head hurts, you made me think too much!!LOL!!

eddy arnold and arnold the pig.
    whats the connection?
    did he adopt him?
the pig not the other way around.

  16. Marine 1 you forgot somebody ! MINNIE PEARL was also a regular on
    The Grand Ole Oprey.
When we were kids my parents would ride around in the evening and listen to the Oprey LOL

I was probabley 5 or 6 years old when Minnie Pearl told a storey about haveing to get the Milk Cows off the roof of the Barn.

Seems her Daddy (I think) bought a used milking machine and when they got it all hooked up and ready to suck.
He hit the switch and the lights dimmed and then sparks went everywhere !
That Old milking machine had a short in it.
And thats how the milk cows ended up on the roof of the barn.

Arnold the pig ran the store in Hooterville! Oops, I got that wrong. He ran the store where Eva used to go for her beauty supplies. Hooterville was where the sisters with the same middle name(Joe) used to swim in the water tank. Wonder why they called that town Hooterville? And the mom didn't have much imagination(Joe). I almost forgot, they were named after uncle Joe!

  18. I thought Mr: Drukker (something like that ) operated the store in Hooterville and Arnold the pig belong to Mr: Zippel ! LMAO !!!
