This is definitely outside the box.

Rather than develop another pistol that requires people to conform around the dimensions of a gun, the new Taurus Curve conforms around the contours of the human body. In terms of its concept as “The gun you wear,” Taurus has stepped outside the norm with its new Curve, offering a non-traditional form factor that aims for comfortable and clever concealment. In the spirit of its name, its curved polymer frame housing is designed to tuck up to your body when carried on the right side.

I gotta admit, I do like the curves!

Umm. Is anyone else bothered by the sight of a woman with a bulge in her jeans?
Odd looking gun, but looks like it would be good in a rear pants pocket.

It also appears to be a point and shoot kind of thing as there is no sights that I can see. I thought glocks were blocky looking. This has all that and more.

If that's a laser do you even need sights?

I'm kinda wondering what effect does that muzzle cut have on the bullet travel? Could it be that the gun is smooth bore?

As for a woman with a bulge in her jeans - First: I'm not so sure those count as jeans. Second: my only reservation with that is the gun is pointed right into her leg. I know people do carry that way but I prefer not to be aiming at my femoral artery.

There is riflings, look at the 1700 position. That was also one of my first thoughts. Accuracy has to suck major butt!

A squarish shaped bulge, wouldn't bother me a bit.

    Folks you gotta remember.
These small pocket guns, are not designed to be precision shooters.
They are designed for "point and shoot", in a close up emergency situation.

I was shocked when a friend showed this to me the other day. I will keep my comments to myself about it. It's not for me :)

Curves are nice! Very comfortable when up close and pleasant at short distance.

I like the idea of it, but I wanna hold one :)

The more it looks like an I-phone, the more concealable it is...

Here's the thing that I really like about it...it is LITERALLY showing us the future.
You're going to see more like this...with some of those nifty features popping up in other guns.

Yup I see it now. I had to follow the G & A link but you can clearly see on the pics that the muzzle is sort of counter-bored so its sort of like a very deep crown.
But I don't think I'll be putting that on my Christmas list any time soon. From the G & A article, "With a bit of practice, getting hits on torso targets positioned across an average-sized room (15 ft.) was no problem during G&A’s initial testing this summer."

    "Read more: http://www.gunsandammo.com/first-look/taurus-curve-380-pistol/#ixzz3JZImronT "

Still, it is an imaginative approach to CCW

Pretty cool idea, well see how it works once its out for a while.

I thought the same thing until i saw it...
There.s a laser sight built into the polymer frame.

Also, about the odd barrel muzzle cut, I was wondering how well that would work too but then I thought about the way the AK muzzles are cut similarly to supposedly reduce recoil.

Taurus might be on to something with this OOTB thinking.

I wanna hold one as well, but I don't think my bride would appreciate that!

Seriously, anything that will encourage anyone to carry, is a great idea IMHO!

I still like the pic of the curves!

Nope on the pistol. Jeans by Sherwin Williams. Nice jeans though.

I'd hold one, just to be able to say I had done so, but at this point, I"m not real interested in it. For me to transition to that "horse" in mid stream, could easily cause me to get wet.
