Took advantage of the rebate sale on Nikon scopes. Got a Monarch 4x16x42mm ($400 with the rebate) BDC. Topped it on my FN PBR 24inch bolt rifle. Used Weaver 1 inch Picatinny tactical 6-hole rings, medium height. Shooting handloads: 168grn Nosler BTHP, 41.0grn RL15, 2.284COL.
Generous eye relief, the lens covers (included) were nice, the turrets are clearly marked and with definitive clicks.
Took about 8rnds to sight in to 100yrd zero off a Harris bi-pod. Do my part, can get MOA with match ammo. Light recoil, easy to handle. Basically a mil-spec Winchester Model 70 with a 4rnd detachable box magazine. FN just released a 5rnd and 10rnd add on.
When I get a chance to set up long ranges will update accordingly on the BDC.
Side note: Have not shot (firearms) since AFG. The pellet rife I treated myself to upon my return, really kept me in practice for aiming, breathing, and trigger control. Mostly shooting off the deck at a soup can full of rocks and dirt hanging in a tree, 16-18yrds distance from the off hand. Did take chipmunk (he was getting into the insulation) through the head at 18yrds using a 21grn round nose pellet.

Took the PBR out again today. Here is my best group which was not all that great as I could not get in a good prone position (uneven ground).

And, here is a pic of the Prairie Dog metal target. All the little blast points are from the .22LR. That one and ONLY large one on the left chest is the .308. Note the impact broke the metal! I found it about 3 feet from the stand. Had a good chuckle even though I am out $40!
