Hey BRG btw that trigger guard screw finally came out after a week in wd40 :right:

Glad it worked for ya. It took me a broken drill bit plunging into my wrist before I just let it soak in penetrating oil. Folks said I had the stigmata. I now call the scar my "Jesus Jab", "Messiah Maim," "Savior Scar," "Christ Cut", and "WORD Wound", and am looking for alliterative terms matching "Emmanuel" or other basic biblical names for Jesus.

Nagant-M44, sometimes it's a two man job! One presses and holds the spring down with a punch, while the other carefully taps the band upwards with a punch, screwdriver, or whatever tool seems handiest. If you're lucky, you won't mar the finish. That's why I like Tung Oil - easy to touch up after reassembly!

It's probably going to skin the wood a little bit. Nothing you can do about it. Just tap it from one side to the other till you get it off.

thanks guys, i finaly got the dang thing off. I got another question about the m48a. Are the triggerguard screws supposed to be flush to the floorplate?
