well guy's i went shoot my xmas presents today.and i took both my presents the highpoint c.9mm and my glock17. needless to say the two guns shot identical groups the only thing was the highpoint had a little more recoil than the glock. and the glock held more rounds. and after looking at both guns next to each other i would say the highpoint beat the glock in the construction area it just seems like the highpoint is (beafier) and except for the trigger on the highpoint wich feels crappy .i would say both guns are great in thier own way. to bad the highpoint don't have the trigger that the glock has if si it would be my gun of choice price wise.( both guns held a 3 inch group at 30 yards)

Well

I have to have a gun that has a finish that was described as pol;ished with a fine brick, and maybe Shrike can convert me over to Glock as well.

But man I really love my Beretta and I like the S&W Tacticals the local PD uses, and the Springfield XD's sure feel nice in the hand. I guess I'll have to buy a few of each huh?

I created a CONVERT :).....you forgot Tommy unlike Glocks, Hi-Point dont blow up in your hand if you shoot +P ammo :) (could not resist that Glock Dig)...... I will admit too the Glock Heads that IF Glocks did not KA-Boom, Would shoot lead bullets, and did not destroy Brass so it could be reloaded, I was going to pick up a Glock for the IDPA thing....Now the Berreta is the front runner...Ill decided after the next gun show.......Sounds like you had a great day at the range..cant belive I missed this thread yeasterday.

i like the glock and i like the highpoint i can see why the glock would have some problems with blowing apart because the polymer frame on the highpoint looks and feel alot stronger than the glock the glock feels light and it feels like a toy gun in you'er hands but it is a smooth shooting gun(glock that is) the only downfall to the highpoint is it has a rough trigger and it has more kick to it. the ammo is no big deal because i only shoot copper jacketed bullets (i don't reaload) the downfall for the glock is that it doesn't shoot fast enough i can speed shoot with the highpoint but the glock won't do it i have to get another trigger for it

to me both guns would be alot better if they were combined the glock needs a stronger frame and some trigger work .and the highpoint needs a smoother trigger but the best part about the highpoint is after buying one you can still afford to get other things for it if needed .and the glock if you buy it you will probably have to save up more money to get things for it.

the next gun i buy is gonna be a highpoint .9mm full size gonna have to wait till i get my settlement for the berretta:D
