1942 Izzy in the true M38 hardwood stock. Got a M38 already, but it was in the M44 hardwood stock...didn't realize it until later when I started learning more about Mosin's...Ex.cond...awesome barrel! One of my best!

Now question: Is there a true laminated M38 stock out there? Or were they all M44's? Thanks...

An M-38 is my next purchase on the list. Something short and lighter. But then again, I am still in the goings for a beautiful 91/30. I believe I will go to Cole for my next decision.

as I understand it the Mosins that are avalible now a days are arsonel guns that have been built, unissued, stored, reworked and stored in a underground salt mine. (under climatic controlled conditions)

Yup...found out they are very rare....Vic at Tuco's has two of them for $225 ea Ex.cond....was told to expect to pay that much for one!
