I found this great site on the tactics used by the US and the NVA/VC in the Vietnam War. With "We Were Soldiers" getting rave reviews I thought you guys might like to look at it...

I'm sure it's an error Jesse will correct when realized....gawd knows it's easy to make errors when dealing with high technology.

Some of the booby trap drawings are not accurate. For example, in the improvised bullet land mine, the cartidge was suspended several inches above the firing pin stud . The bullet would be stepped on, causing the cartridge to drop a few inches until it hit the pin with enough force to fire it. That is also similar to the function of a Slam-Bang shotgun.
