Welcome from Colorado. I have worked with many Russians in my carrier as an electrician. Some in Iceland or Island as some people spell it. The Russians that immigrated to the USA have always said how much the Russian people appreciated what the Americans did for them after World War 2. Good hard working tough, strong people. These were older guys that I met in the 70's and 80's that went through WW2. The men I met In Island were former soldiers that fought in Afghanistan against the Taliban as we are now. I wish we could become Allies again but with our new president I doubt it. He would rather be Allies with China.

As far as I understand, the most beloved cartridge overseas is 7.62x39?
Nope. That would be the 30.06 Springfield or .270 Winchester; followed closely by 7mm Rem Mag and .243 Winchester. Many others are worthy and popular but I'd say those are the most popular cartridges over here.

I got all excited because our plane had a cam that shows the ground below - along with a map overlay. I don't know if it is always like this, but when we flew over Siberia and Mongolia looked like the world's largest mud biome.
I'm not 100% but some of my Polish relatives may have visited scenic Siberia courtesy of Stalin and Beria. But that's them not him currently here.

I believe it's very novel to b able to be able to communicate with each other average guy to average guy.
And talk about things we have in common. Like guns and shooting.

I'd like to think my grandpa Martin and his brother are smiling down on us this moment.

Which cartridge manufacturer is the best for you? And how does the majority shoot?
I like the Wolf because I can get a pattern like this at 100 yds. out of an AR rifle.

I can reload & do reload 7.62x54r for my Mosin Nagant 91/30 PU Sniper, it shoots better than with my reloads than the military surplus or factory ammo.

Yes I still have some Wolf brand 7.62x54r cartridges.
Moison 1891 rifles were very popular in Alaska and cheap at one time.

I used to be an aircraft mechanic for a small regional airline that for a short while operated a outpost in Provideniya Russia.
flights between Nome and Provideniya were possible in the early 1990's.

In the early 1990's we had quite a few Russians come visit Kotzebue.

I checked out Russian shotshell producers and here is some of what I found.

Maybe I misunderstood the question. I am a hunter and shooter. I started the channel two years ago. Then I got to the hospital with oncolygia, after the operation I recovered and I want to continue working on my blog.

Hi Sergey,

Welcome from Central Florida.

I think Russian and American people are much the same; it's the politicians who are nuts.

Hope you enjoy learning about USA guns and we'll learn about the Russian gun scene.

Welcome Sergei
Perhaps you can tell us something about Russia's gun laws ect There was a site that had a post "The Russian Empire too nice for its own good" or something to that effect that had a picture of a 1800s(?) Siberian gun store that looks like something out of the US Wild west. Supposedly there were no gun control laws in Russia until 1905 which only applied to handguns. When the Communists took power they introduced all sorts of gun control gun confiscation ect

Good afternoon Sergey, welcome to G&G from the high desert of Southwest Idaho USA. I collect military surplus rifles from a number of different countries but I've always had an affinity for Russian weapons and I have several AKM's and SKS's :) .
