i stopped in post 2780 today for their gun show. i wasn't surprised to see a bunch of over priced crap there, but was happy to find some ammo. my .30-06 loves 180 gr, and i happened to see a few boxes of corelokt at one of the vendors. i grabbed all 5 at $20 each, then saw 4 collectors boxes of 180'swith no price. they're like new with the original rounds in them. i brought all 9 boxes over to the guy and asked how much. i had to try not to grin when he said "well, since your taking them all and i've had 'em awhile, how's $15 a box sound?"

"oh, i guess i'll take it" i said, after trying to look like i wasn't too pleased.

i know a guy who collects old remington stuff. i'll get around $20 each just for the boxes without the ammo. (guy's got more money than sense) so, after i sell them, i bought 180 rounds of .30-06 ammo for $55. that's about a third of what i'd pay on cheaper than dirt.

Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't.
    Sounds like a good transaction.
