I've been tossing around the idea of getting 700 in 30-06. Yesterday at a USPSA match my buddy and I were talking about the range we were at had a long range rifle range. We got into talking long range shooting and he mentioned he had a 700 ADL in .270 win that he would sell to me for $300. Now that I have found a place to shoot long range I think this would be a good rifle to start a long range build on.

Unless you have a need for the 30-06, the .270 would probably work well for you at the range.

Love the .270 Win and have a couple of them. It is flat shooting and is capable of killing most any North American game animal with the right ammo and shot placement.
