So there is an Henry 1885 SB for sale for $675....

It is new and the Henry website sent me to an online shop that sells them for $870...

So is this a new Henry .45-70, Model H010, or a repro from someone like Uberti? The MSRP from Henry for the H010 is $850.

I haven't seen a henry in .45-70 other than the tubular mag one with the XS sights (which would be an excellent gun--the ghost rings IMHO add alot for irons).

I wound up with a Remlin GBL because the Henry wasn't widely available--which has worked out great also except I had to add the sights myself (which wasn't hard). The Remlins fit was less quality than the original JM's but it is still a fine gun and has served me well. It's got a 6-shot capacity also.

I almost exclusively use the HSM +P 430 grain lead loading for it due to wide variance of POI. This has more than enough performance for anything. I've also shot the 350gr Buffalo Bore jacketed round--which shoots OK--but the gun won't feed it without occasionally kinda jamming. No problems with the HSMs
