Nice find - I hope they continue to do these carbines with some other calibers. I have a black powder cattleman carbine, and its a hoot to shoot. .22 is nice, but a .44 mag revolver carbine would be great!

What's odd is at a local gun shop.

They had gotten in several Heritige revolvers in with 16" barrels and I thought. What the heck why not do a rifle version?!
So I wonder if something went sideways on the rifle version? BATFE maybe?

Or people grabbing them up speculating on them not being made for long?

wow that is really cool! I have a Heritage 4" or 5" .22lr/.22mag revolver and its a pretty good shooter for the money. finish isnt the best, but hey, it works!

I worry about the sling mount, have to find the sweet spot for a barrel band them remember to not load pressure on the sling.

I can see this being one those .22's youd want to be easy with.
Its weak point being where all that rifle barrel is supported in that little bit of frame.

Even knowing that, Id still want one.

    Thanks bsshog40 for the tip.

Now that is really cool and something like I've wanted for quite a while and it reminds me of the conversion that Lee Van Cleef has in for a few dollars more. When the dude he's after is running down the street and he drops his rifle roll on his saddle and attaches a walnut stock to his revolver and puts a round in the guys leg and drops him. then again I've always wanted a large loop model 14 Cattleman carbine as well...

from what I've read, the problem with those revolver carbines is that the hot gas escaping from the cylinder gap burns your support arm.

Doesn't look to be an issue if used right. Also a long sleeve shirt would work too..

I wanted to get one since I first saw them. Have a couple of their Rough Rider revolvers and they are fun to shoot.
