I am 99% sure I am going for the .40, because it can exchange mags with the carbine, I have never seen a blowback .40, and I happen to have about $150 set aside specifically for firearms/ammo. The only small drawback is it only has a 10+1 cap.Ive shot and owned them all, worked great. The c9 may be the most comfortable of all, as far as the 45...I use to have a green one..worked perfect..a little bulky but did it's job.
Good choice, the 40 is very acurate and you'll have to give a range report on the su-22 carbine as im interested in one myself.I am 99% sure I am going for the .40, because it can exchange mags with the carbine, I have never seen a blowback .40, and I happen to have about $150 set aside specifically for firearms/ammo. The SU-22 carbine will have to wait for tax returns.
My son has the .45 carbine, and it also will accept the pistol mags. The website just updated with all the info on the .45 rifle; for example, as of about a week ago the manual for the .45 rifle wasn't on the website.I am 99% sure I am going for the .40, because it can exchange mags with the carbine, I have never seen a blowback .40, and I happen to have about $150 set aside specifically for firearms/ammo. Gives me something to think about. Thanks for the info! The last time I looked the .40 was the only one with interchangeable mags. I was thinking along the lines of a Rock Island, or Taurus 1911, for a pistol but I do really like what I have seen of the .45 carbine. From what I have seen people tend to collect the whole group. Unfortunately the next rifle I need is a .22lr because the only local range within biking distance of me only allows that caliber in a rifle, or carbine. My son has the .45 carbine, and it also will accept the pistol mags. But fer sure and fer real, the .45 rifle and the .45 pistol use the same mags.
(And I just posted his picture with the rifle in another thread in this forum.)
That link is to Woodbury's in Coshocton, Ohio. Been there - nice place! We make it a day trip to go there and then eat at Roscoe Village and hit a few antique shops on the way home. With gas prices the way they are doubt it will be for a while before we do it again.I have one and love it.
Mine's the green camo finish: Hi Point Pistol, 45 ACP, 4 1/2" Barrel, Double Action Only, Polymer Grips, 3-Dot Sights, Green Camo Finish, 10 + 1 Rounds, 34512
Im not too much on the weight, bulkiness, and looks but I have the 45 and cant beat it for the money and reliability.I hate the way they look and feel. That being said, it's on my list. Just haven't decided if I want the .45 ACP or the 9mm.
I actually bought mine from J&G Sales. They get a batch of them in all three calibers about every other month.Great vid!
There aren't any stocking dealers around me to even get to handle one.
I don't have anything like a point on my trigger. Maybe you just got a special, because this is a complaint I've never heard about the Hi Point.I'm not saying I'm unhappy with the .45 I got. I like it a lot, it's a freaking "Hand Cannon", but can someone answer me this? What is the freaking point of the "point" they put on the trigger? It sets RIGHT at the point so that when you squeeze the trigger it bites into the pad of your index finger.
Is this to help you save rounds? Because after about 4 rounds, it starts to get annoying and then further starts to get painful. I ended up filing it down and off, but just curious if there was a reason or if anyone else got this.
