An interesting article on a wounded Marine who left the service, went to law school, decided he'd rather make booze, and managed to take advantage of an Indiana law to open a distillery. He and his unfortunately-named wife (her name is Hillary, poor girl) have built a successful business and brand, which I urge you to check out if you can lay your hands on any of their liquor; they don't have national distribution yet.

You can get an idea of their attitude by the T-shirt Hillary is wearing in one of the article's photos: "It's 1700 Hours Somewhere In The World!"

Navy Engine Room Chiefs used to make the best booze...before the ships went Nuke ;)

Had a guy on my steam-powered frigate who made a bit of hooch on our deployment. He was very resourceful.
