Hi ... Can anyone tell me what this gun is worth and how good it might be ? It say its a Savage 500 series made in china huntington beach calif. usa. Pat.3-908-626 >>>>>>> .177 cal. (4.5mm) owner manual available free from S/R Industries. Inc .

Thank you .

Is it an airgun? From the caliber I'm going to assume so. I don't imagine Savage putting their name on something that wasn't a quality product. It must have a place to mount a scope somewhere, because it has no sights. It has a rather nicely contoured stock with what is more than likely a completely unnecessary recoil pad. I wouldn't imagine it having any perceivable recoil. Just from the caliber alone, i wouldn't use it on anything but small game. Slap a scope on it, and put a target at 25 yards and shoot it, and see how accurate it is. If it's really accurate and you get really good with it, you could probably use it for squirrel hunting, and rodent control.
Thanks for your respond . And your right it is an air gun . I actually found it today in the garbage . I'm curious what its worth ? I would like to sell it . Thanks

I have no idea how much it might be worth in monetary terms. In terms of recreational activity and usefullness as a small game getter, I'm pretty sure it would be worth more than any small amount of money it might fetch. But whatever you decide to do with it, good luck. :)
Again thanks for responding . Guys, if I ask $100 for it would that be a fair price ? Thanks
