i just bought $2464 worth of stereo equipment .
got it all home and cant figure out how to hook it up!
i am going to have to take the day off, stay home and wait for an installation guy to connect everything.
    i just dont get it...
gimmie a gun and i can tear it apart and bed it,do a trigger job and polish the internals in the time it takes me to figure out what the names of the different cables are for a home theater.:34:

You're not alone....I dread buying new electronics for that very reason.

Nothing's standard, and the manual (in 6 languages) isn't written very well in English. Also, all those ! warnings ! mask the real meat of "how do I hook the thing up."

you buy a $900 amp and it comes with blurry pictures that have a caption like.....
WARNING! DO IT LIKE THIS! OR RISK EQUIPMENT DAMAGE!

i truly appreciate the kind offer Chris but there are so many wires and components that the Bose tech and the store i bought it from couldn't help me on line or over the phone.
i need a human being to physically plug all this crap in!

i have a pair of bose 901 speakers ($1399.00 new)and they need a proprietary eq.
    so i bought one($215).
i wanted to use them as f.speakers in a surround sound h.t. application.
the amps that have a preamp output and power amp input are either old and you can find them on ebay or new and very expensive.
so after taking my setup to the h.t. store and spending a few hours trying to get an amp to work with the 901's.
i returned my new amp and subwoofer (on sale $701)
    and bought
    paradigm cinema 110 center speaker
    paradigm cinema 90 front speakers
    velodyne vrp-1000 subwoofer
    $700.99
and i am still using my old
    bose model 141 r. speakers
    sony str de-525 surround amp.
i am going to keep these speakers until someday that i have a big place to use them in and find a good amp to power them.
but the setup i have right now kicks *** for my movie watchin!
to test them out i watched the perfect storm
and if that doesnt put em through their paces nuthin will!
thank you for trying chris ol buddy.
