I have made another iwb kydex leather holster for my Beretta model 85f.This time I made the back the full legnth of the slide unlike the first holster I made in the other thread http://www.gunandgame.com/forums/ho...anyone-made-kydex-leather-hybrid-holster.html. I also made this one with a combat cut ( the leather is clear of the gun grip).I used a thinner kydex (.060) this time also.
That is pretty slick. I am interested in making some myself for both handguns and knives, can you tell me the process and where do you get the kydex..thanks.
I use a heat gun to heat the kydex and hand form it around the actual gun .I buy the kydex from knifekits.com.Youtube has a ton of videos on forming kydex .I used a 6x6 in piece of kydex , heated until it is floppy(with heat gun) then with gloves I form it around the gun. Then I trim it to size and drill holes for rivets.I cut a thick piece of leather into shape for the back.Punch holes install kydex , rivets and belt clips.
