I had some difficulty going to sleep the other night, which is somewhat rare for me. After a couple of restless hours, I finally fell into a deep and restful sleep and a couple of beautiful dreams......

This is a close-up picture I took of a hunter and his dog from a wall painting in Villa Borghese, Rome. Given the time period in the rest of the palace, I'd estimate it is from around 1620, about the time of Shakespeare's death. Looks to be a wheel lock musket of some sort. Interesting shooting stance.

Why does the crow in the bottom picture have horns?

Is the crow, or the racoon, cooler?

    Pshshsh...

The crow was photo-shopped. The raccoon is 100% brass. Big, brass ones.

Actually, I can believe that. I remember being told about so called "sportsmen" putting a racoon out on a floating log, then siccing dogs on them. Seems dogs have a hard time getting a coon off of a log!

^ I wonder what the story is on that picture? what's with the snow leopard and what looks like cattle behind it? does the guy holding the AK own the cattle and he killed that leopard? (that looks like it could be frozen) my mind is running wild with scenarios.o_O

Chris I was lucky enough I guess on two occasions to cross paths with one in the Atlantic Ocean here. Both times I was on a friends boat fishing like we did a lot. I remember seeing the fish cruising at us in a 52 foot boat drifting. Was in a couple hundred feet of water. The Ocean sunfish is all body and very small fins and tail compared to body size. The ones I saw were about 200lbs or more. They are very aggressive and territorial. They rammed our boat. Yes they rammed and shook the large boat we were in several times. They actually have barnacles encrusted on them also. I was trying to keep it at bay with a long handled boat hook. I am not sure if they are good for eating.

Chevy? And I do believe that is some serious leather upholstery work there.
